Bankstown Region
Open Day
29th November 2003

On November 20th 2003 Bankstown Region, now firmly established in their new hall at Chester Hill, held an Open Day in conjunction with the Sydney Woodcarvers Guild and the Marquetry Guild who also share the hall. The groups held continuous demonstrations of their respective craft and provided a large range of work for display

The day was very successful with the hall full all day. The Mayor of Bankstown, who performed the official opening, remarked on the good use that the hall was being put too and the quality of the work on show. She was thanked by being presented with a turned pen.

It was good to again see the Artful Bodger, Jonas Kirk, set up in the forecourt with his pole lathe.
