In May 2000, the Southern Region of the Sydney Woodturners Guild were honoured by being
presented with a Community Service Award by the Premier of New South Wales, Bob Carr.
A certificate and engraved plaque
"in recognition and appreciation for outstanding services to the community"
were presented to members of the Southern Region by the Premier on May 24th 2000.
