In 1999, the Southern Region of the Sydney Woodturners Guild held a fundraising day to raise
money for donation to the Sutherland Hospital Emergency Department equipment appeal.
$6000 was donated and the appreciation of the hospital was shown by presenting the group
with an engraved plaque and a certificate of appreciation was presented by the State Member of Parliament.
